The Early Childhood Education Symposium
As a regional leader in early childhood education, The Summit hosts a free community-wide symposium every year featuring national, regional and local experts in childhood learning, health, and wellness.
The Fourth Annual Early Childhood Education Symposium attracted record attendance when award-winning author and parenting expert Michele Borba, Ed.D., delivered the keynote address on Oct. 15, 2011. Dr. Borba spoke on two topics. Her keynote was "Raising Goodness: How to Raise Kids with Good Hearts Who Do the Right Thing." She also presented a bonus session called "Friendship Skills: How to Teach Them to Your Children."
Other speakers at the symposium included experts from Children's Hospital, Xavier University and University of Cincinnati as well as child psychologists, learning specialists, fine arts educators and Summit faculty. Among topics were brain research, world language, speech acquisition, self esteem and learning styles.
Please plan to attend the Fifth Annual Early Childhood Education Symposium in October 2012. Details will be posted here closer to the date.
