Thank you for visiting the Summit Parents Association (SPA) website. All parents of Summit students are members of the SPA. We welcome you and encourage you to get involved in the life of The Summit.

Back to School 2010 SPA Announcements:

  • The Summit Board of Trustees has hired Wickenden & Associates as our search consultant for the Head of School and Middle School Division Director. Your feedback and input is very important in this process. All parents are encouraged to complete a survey regarding the search located at www.wickenden.com. Just click on the box "Talk to Us- Go to Survey" and then find The Summit Country Day Survey. Thank you for taking the time, your help will make our search even more successful.
  • Volunteer Sign Up Breakfast is Wed Sept 1st at 8:30am in St. Cecilia's (4th Floor Main Building). This is a very important meeting where we have sign up sheets to volunteer for ALL our events including Class Parties, Fall Festival, Boutique Noel, Faculty Appreciation, Multi-Cultural Festival among many others! 
  • Fall Festival (Friday, Sept 17) Volunteers Needed! Please contact Christina Traiforos (ctraiforos@gmail.com) if you want to volunteer. Consider volunteering with a buddy so that you can take turns enjoying the festival/supervising your group of kids while your buddy volunteers for a shift...then switch places so everybody has fun! This is a huge event and we need LOTS of volunteers.
  • Kroger Gift Cards- Help Your School, Keep Your Perks! This is just too easy....4% of every purchase comes back to the school. Keep your perks! You can load your Kroger gift card using your favorite credit card and still get your "points." Just tuck your credit card behind your Kroger Card in you wallet and remember to "load" your card right there at the checkout line. You still get credit for all those Kroger Plus Card "points" for gas, etc.
  • School Uniforms also available in our Resale Shop. Did you know that our Uniform Resale Shop has very carefully inspected and washed every item we sell? With our kids growing out of those uniforms so quickly, the Resale Shop is a valuable resource to keep the family budget! Open M,W,F 11:15am to 1:15pm, located Ground Level, Main Building near the Cafeteria.
  • Have a question, need a contact? The SPA has a division chair that is ready, willing and able to help! The SPA promotes a strong, integrated and diverse community of parents, faculty, staff and students to enhance the education of our children.

Working in concert with the school, the SPA seeks to foster a warm, welcoming and inclusive community for all Summit families. Through programs and events, the SPA provides opportunities for parents to connect with one another and make positive contributions through volunteerism.

The Summit Parents Association would like for all parents to feel connected and get involved in the life of The Summit. For some parents that means volunteering their time, for others it simply means staying in touch and knowing what is happening on campus.

Please check this area of the SPA web often as important volunteer information will be posted for each of the four schools in the individual drop down links. Including upcoming meeting dates, volunteer needs, event updates and minutes from previous meetings.
