Homecoming for Former Player

08/07/08

The Summit Country Day is pleased to announce the hire of Josh Koch to the boys’ soccer program. Josh will coach the reserve team and assist with the varsity.

“Josh brings a sense of tradition to the soccer program,” said Barnard Baker, Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach. “I am excited to have a former player who has competed at such a high level.”

Josh Koch anchored the Silver Knights defense as a senior standout for the 1999 state championship team. He was named All-MVC 1st Team and was also Division II All-State that year. As a club player, Josh competed for Cincinnati United Premier, where he won a state championship in 2000. He later signed with the University of Cincinnati where he played from 2000-2003, and the Cincinnati Excite professional indoor soccer team.

Josh will join the staff immediately and assume coaching responsibilities for the 2008 season.
