Saturday, October 31 - Big Day for Summit Athletics

Saturday, October 31st is a BIG DAY in the Summit Athletic World!!!
- On Saturday, October 31st the Cross Country teams travel to Troy, OH, for the Regional Meet. The girls’ race begins at 11:00 a.m. and the boys’ race begins at 1:15 p.m. Congratulations to our Summit Girls’ Cross Country team who won the District Championship last Saturday at Voice of America Park. Emily Hogya finished third in the race. The Boys’ Cross Country team finished third in District and Colin Cotton was medalist for the meet. The top four boys’ teams advance to Regionals and the top two girls’ teams qualify.
- The football team will play their last game of the season vs. Clark Montessori on Saturday, October 31, at 1:00 p.m. This is Senior Day, celebrating our football seniors at 12:30 and the senior cheerleaders will be honored during half-time. The lower school students are invited to come in costume for a Halloween Parade at half-time. All students receive free admission to the game, plus Halloween treats from the Summit Alumni Association!
- The Volleyball team won an exciting match over Seven Hills last Saturday and advanced to the District Finals. They will play Lehman Catholic on Saturday 6:30 p.m. at Butler H.S.
- The Boys’ Soccer team advanced to the District Finals with a 6-0 victory over Fayetteville. They will meet Dayton Christian - Saturday, October 31, 7:30 p.m. at Winton Woods High School. In last Saturday’s victory over Ripley, Alex Priede set a new school record scoring his 119th goal. He currently has 123 career goals. In the Fayetteville game, Michael Van Sant set a new school record with 22 assists this season.
