Middle School Golf Team Excels!

SUMMIT MIDDLE SCHOOL GOLF TEAM ACES TWO TOURNAMENTS
A coach always hopes for a team to peak at the end of the season. That’s what the Middle School Golf team did over the October 10-12 weekend of tournament play.
On Friday, October 10, the team competed in the MVC Tournament that was held at the Little Miami Golf Course (regulation course). Each of the 4 teams was to bring their top four players – Summit players were Sam Buse, Chris Lee, Benny Russert and Harrison Tobin. Summit finished in 1st place with a score of 167 – with CHCA finishing second with a score of 185. Summit players had three of the five low scores for the day.
The Middle School Classic was held on Sunday, October 12 at the Neumann Golf Course. Ten Middle School teams from the Greater Cincinnati area participated in this tournament. Each team was to bring their top five players and scoring would be based on the top four scores. The five players from Summit were: Sam Buse, Sami Joseph, Chris Lee, Benny Russert, and Harrison Tobin. Once again The Summit took 1st Place honors outscoring the second place, Centerville, by 12 strokes. Lee and Russert were co-medalists for the tournament.
The Middle School Golf Team is coached by Ms. Pat Wilhelmy. The team overall record for the season was 13-0.
