Hair-raising event helps students appreciate cultural diversity

Girls show off their new braids during the "Cultural Celebration of Hair."
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee sponsored a “Cultural Celebration of Hair” on Feb. 23 in the Lower School Library. Students learned about different kinds of hair styles, were able to get their hair braided and watched a Sesame Street video called “I Love My Hair.” A professional hair stylist provided demonstrations.
