Austin Berry ’07 named All-Big East
Austin Berry ’07 has been named All-Big East again and his Louisville Cardinals play UCLA at 7 p.m. Saturday in Cardinal Park for a shot at a second straight College Cup appearance.
Now a senior at the University of Louisville, he is also a finalist for the Herman Trophy, soccer’s equivalent of the Heisman Trophy.
Before last weekend’s defeat of Maryland’s Terrapins in the NCAA Tournament third-round game, Austin talked to the Louisville Courier-Journal. “This season has given us a lot of lessons of just staying focused,” he told the newspaper. “We have seen a lot of changes in the back four and a lot of guys moving around. But by the end of the season, we have come together and it’s looking fluid now.”
