ShareAlumni Association Brings the Opera to The Summit

Thanks to a generous gift from Dr. Olga Duarte '75 and The Summit Alumni Association, the Middle School students and faculty enjoyed a dynamic performance of “OH! Freedom” by the Cincinnati Opera. Through story-telling and song, “OH! Freedom” chronicles the African-American struggle from the slavery era through the Civil Rights Movement. This 45-minute piece included a variety of music, from spirituals and gospels to operatic arias. Students participated in a Q&A opportunity with the Opera performers following the performance.
