Middle School Campus Ministry

The Summit Middle School celebrates Mass as a community twice monthly. Masses are structured thematically to coincide with the liturgical church year. Students are encouraged to participate in all aspects of these celebrations, including music, readings, and rituals. Other special prayer celebrations include Stations of the Cross, May Crowning, the St. Julie Feast Day, and the Holy Thursday Hand Washing Service. There also is a Middle School Religion Team, which meets for planning and discussion of academic and worship issues on an ongoing basis. Students in grades seven and eight prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, which is made available every two years. Community Action Teams perform a range of service outreach activities in the community.
