Middle School students turn the real world into their classroom through regularly scheduled class trips.

Fifth grade students spend a day at the zoo. Among their activities, students take part in a scavenger hunt in which they must work together in small groups to learn about different animal and plant species. They also take part in Science Day at Great American Ballpark in the spring.

Sixth-graders spend three days and two nights at Woodland Altars, an outdoor camp in Adams County, near Chillicothe. Students learn about environmental sciences while using nature as their laboratory. Taking trips and bonding outside the classroom, students and teachers develop more respect for each other.

In the seventh grade, students take an Ohio history trip in the fall. Students visit the State Capitol Building, Amish Country and The Wilds.

Eighth-graders journey to Washington D.C. for three days where they visit the Capitol Building, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Vietnam Memorial and Arlington Cemetery. The field trip augments the eighth-grade classroom curriculum.
