Multicultural Week
As part of multicultural learning, Mrs. Wiesner’s third grade class made masks based on Puerto Rican Caretas masks. In festivals, these masks were used to frighten children into being good. The third graders first plastered their own faces and then extended the face cast to create the masks you see here. Click on the thumbnail pictures to see each mask enlarged.
