Diversity and Inclusion Room
The Diversity and Inclusion Room is located the Middle School. The room is designed to offer students a global perspective and create sensitivity to a diverse set of feelings and viewpoints that are formed by individual experiences. This is a family-style classroom and meeting room.
Artifacts from around the world are displayed in the D&I Room where ready-to-use lessons have been prepared. The room is available to teachers so they can bring groups of students to explore other cultures through these objects as well as literature, videos, photography, poetry and storytelling.
The artifacts have donated by members of our own diverse and multinational Summit community. The D&I Team invites the Summit Community to contribute to the room by donating items that help tell a story and enhance our global education efforts. Artifacts can include art, books, sculptures, dolls or any other objects that have a specific or important meaning in a culture. If you wish to contribute to our D&I room please contact a D&I coordinator from your division.
We truly thank you for your support in this endeavor.
