Parent Program - Scroll down for a list of sports
Ohio Department of Education prohibits The Summit from sponsoring sports programs for students in kindergarten through the 6th grade. As a result, a Parent Run Athletics Committee of The Summit Boosters Association exists to organize and coordinate athletic programs for children in the K-6 group. The sports currently offered include baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball.
The Parent Run Athletics Committee adheres to the following guidelines:
- - All eligible K-6 Summit students will be given the opportunity to participate in every athletic team sport offered.
- - All participating students will play in every contest.
- - Coaches and teams are to emphasis sportsmanship, team work, skills development, and the importance of hard work and consistent effort to a successful season. Above all, our children must have fun.
- - The Parent Run Athletic Committee will continue to oversee the operation of the K-6 athletic program and remain responsive to our experiences as we pursue each sport.
Code of Conduct forms: player, coach and parent
We need your help! We need parents to volunteer as coaches, referees, team coordinators, etc. The Parent Run Athletic Committee is organized and run entirely by Summit parents who volunteer for the benefit of our children. Our success depends upon the active participation of as many people as possible. No previous experience is necessary. You will find that serving as a coach or coordinator for your son's or daughter's team is a wonderfully satisfying and rewarding experience. Please contact the respective sports commissioners identified below to indicate your willingness to help. Their numbers can be found in the school's directory. Thank you.
Sign up sheets for current sports will be linked below. Clicking the link will allow you to print the form to fill out and return per instructions on the form.
