GABBY STEELE
Junior Gabby Steele enjoyed another highly-successful fall tennis season in 2007, as she won the Division II Girls Singles State Championship. Winning all of her regular-season Silver Knight matches without losing a set, Gabby continued winning easily in the playoffs, lost only one set (in the finals) and ended the season ranked number one in Ohio. An NCAA Division I prospect, Gabby plays tennis year-round and is ranked top 30 in her age-group nationally.

COLIN COTTON
Leading from the front this fall as a freshman, Colin Cotton ran his way into The Summit record books. Winner of the Cedarville Invitational and improving his five kilometer (3.1 mile) time from 17:06 to 16:06 (a new school record) this October, Colin is currently ranked among the top 10 cross country runners in all of Greater Cincinnati. The Miami Valley Conference champion, and second-place finisher in the District championship, Colin finished third at the Southwest Ohio Regional and is the first-ever Summit cross country runner to compete in the State Championship race.

Tiara Turner ALEX PRIEDE
Sophomore Alex Priede has emerged in 2007 as one of the leading boys’ soccer players in all of Greater Cincinnati. Having played mostly defense for the very-successful 2006 Silver Knights team, Priede was repositioned back to striker, and scored 31 goals and 10 assists this fall, to be the number one goal scorer in all divisions locally. One of the leaders of a boys’ team dominated by underclassmen, Pride has established himself as a Division I-caliber recruit, and will return next fall (as will virtually the entire team!) with high hopes and expectations.
