Summit Middle School Sports (Grades 7-8)

Summit Country Day School sponsors the middle school sports listed below. Similar to our Upper School athletic teams, our Middle School competes in the Miami Valley Conference and, for some sports, the league offers a post-season tournament.  Practice sites vary depending on the sport. Some are held right here on campus, but many practices and contests are played at the Summit Athletic Complex, at 5580 Ehrling Road. A one-way shuttle bus is provided on school days for practices and games at the Complex.

Under the guidelines of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), athletes must complete the required forms each school year. The forms (5 pages) can be found on this link: http://www2.summitcds.org/athletics/documents/2PhysicalExamForms2010-2011.pdf

All Summit students are encouraged to participate in the athletic programs. Athletics play an important role in The Summit experience and each student is encouraged to participate in two or three sports. The Middle School sports program, under the leadership of the varsity coach, offers the students the opportunity to develop fundamental skills and basic team concepts. It provides an opportunity for playing time but the playing time at the Middle School level does not have to be equal for all players. There is a no-cut policy for all sports at The Summit.

Schedules for Middle School Sports can be found by going to the sport specific webpage and clicking on Schedules (left column).
