Summit Swimming Team

 

The Summit Country Day Swim Team competes in both the Southern Ohio Swim League and the Miami Valley Conference against such schools as Cincinnati Country Day, New Richmond, Clark Montessori, and Seven Hills.

 

The 2007-2008 season produced a strong performance by all of the Summit swimmers. The girls were led by freshman Hannah Krone, who qualified for the District Meet in both the 200 I.M. and the 500 freestyle. Hannah also qualified for the State Meet in the 200 I.M.

The boys were led by the Bedacht brothers who both emerged as Miami Valley Conference Champions - Bryan in the 200 I.M. and the 100 Fly and Brad in the 100 Breaststroke. Bryan also qualified for Districts in the 200 I.M. and the 100 Breaststroke, and competed at State in the 200 I.M.

Athletes who enjoy swimming but have never been on a competitive team are encouraged to try out for the team. Stroke technique, drills, as well as endurance training are offered at all training sessions.
