Going to State....
GREAT NEWS from Districts. Out of 28 teams, all of which have between 15-20 swimmers, Summit, with only 4 boys placed 4th in the District. In addition, for the first time in Summit history, Summit qualified two relays for the State Meet. The 400 Medley Relay placed 4th at the District Meet with a time of 1:42.76, and the 200 Freestyle Relay also placed 4th in the District with a time of 1:32.79. Both of these relays also set new school records.
Members of both of these relays are: the Bedacht twins (Bryan and Bradley), and the Patterson twins (John and Nathan). Mason Mechler and Logan Eyer are the alternates for both relays. It gets better - Bryan Bedacht placed 2nd in the 200 I.M. at Districts with a time of 1:55.12, and 4th in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:45.34. Bryan qualified for State in both of these events. John Patterson placed 16th in the 100 yard butterfly at Districts with a time of 57.70, and 5th in the 100 Yard Backstroke at Districts with a time of 55.07. John set a new school record in the 100 yard backstroke, and also qualified for State in that event.
