Boys' Lacrosse

Our 2011 team had a great core of seniors lead by midfielders Evan Albertson (Wooster) and Luke Williams (Georgetown), defensemen Devante Hunter (Morehead State), Dane Fajack (Wittenburg), Hayden Klei (UC), Sam Baldwin (Carolina) and goalie Ben McBride (Baylor).

Our sophomore attack of Will Martin, Gus Stewart and David Smith put up some big numbers, and junior LSM, LaDon Laney, wreaked havoc on opposing middies all year. We won the D–2 Southwest Region (City Championship) then lost in the state semi-finals to the over all #1 team in the state. Overall an excellent season, awesome team play and great support from The Summit administration, parents and students.

The 2012 season will see the return our entire starting attack and LSM. Midfielders that were role players last year will step up to anchor the midfield lines. Our defense and goalie positions are wide open.

We will play a very competitive regular season schedule, playing six of the nine D-1 programs, along with the top D-2 and Club programs in our region. We will participate in the Midwest Catholic Classic at Notre Dame University, and scheduled for the first time, a regular season game with a team in Columbus. We will continue to support our troops with a Troop Night game, and have scheduled a boys/girls double header on April 18. The Summit boys will play Lakota West in the early game and the Summit girls will play Seven Hills in the night cap. We will again host our Summit Lacrosse Summer Camp (www.scdlax.net).
