Our girls' team had its most successful season in school history. They were led by senior captain Mindy O’Brien. Other members of the team included Alex Sharp, Courtney Collins, Ellie Middleton, Hannah Eyer, Migs Hackett, Emily Hogya and Chrissy Thurner.

 

The girls ended up capturing team titles at the Middletown Christian Invitational, MVC Championships, and District Championships! Their low team score of the year came at the Middletown Christian Invitational where they scored 21 points to win by 25 points. By capturing the District Championship this season, this group of girls became the first Summit Cross Country Team to win a District Championship. We also had four 1^st Team All-Conference runners in Emily, Mindy, Hannah, and Courtney! 2^nd Team All-Conference went to Chrissy. All in all, this was the most successful season for our girls' squad in its twenty-four year history. 

 

 

 

This year’s boys' squad was the largest in school history. We had 16 boys running this season. We were led by our Co-Captains, Brad Bedacht and Jon Halvonik. Other members included: Peter Cooper, Ryan Clark, Andrew Middleton, Matt Rost, Colin Cotton, Mark France, Ryan Gabelman, Nathan Patterson, Joe Olding, Jack Dailey, Charlie Michel, Drew VonHandorf and Chris Gallagher. 

 

The boys ended up capturing team titles at the Middletown Christian Invitational and the MVC Championships. They also had a runner-up finish at the prestigious Firebird Invitational. Their low team score occurred at the MVC Championships where they scored 30 points, outdistancing 2^nd place by 32 points. They went on to place third in Districts, and recorded the highest team finish in Cross Country history at Regionals by placing 8^th out of 16 teams. Special recognition to the following individuals as 1^st Team All-Conference runners: Colin (runner of year 3^rd year in a row), Ryan G, Charlie, and Mark France. 2^nd Team All-Conference goes to: Brad, Jon, Matt, Drew, and Jack! Colin Cotton was also: 1^st at Districts and Regionals for the 2^nd straight year and finished in the top 5 at state for the 2^nd straight year!
