Season in Full Swing
Varsity Head Coach Triffon Callos' team has made a strong start in the 2012 season with a dynamic pitching staff. Three pitchers -- Tommy Crowl, Matt Slager and Brad Fisk -- are among the top 25 in the city for Earned Run Average.
The Silver Knights were ranked early on as No. 3 in the Enquirer’s Division II-IV Coaches’ Poll.
Two players already have college baseball aspirations. Senior outfielder Gabe Scott committed to play baseball at NCAA Division I George Washington Univeristy. Senior pitcher Matt Slager has committed to attend Division III Ohio Northern University, where he hopes to further his baseball career for the Polar Bears.
The team took their momentum into Spring Training where they met tough competitors at Disney's Baseball Spring Training Camp in Orlando, Fla.
