DIGITAL MEDIA COURSE

“Experience three interrelated topics within the area of digital design: digital animation using Macromedia Flash, film and cinematography using a digital camera and Windows Moviemaker, and graphic design using Adobe Photoshop. Each of these projects will challenge and engage students in the world of digital graphic media, a rapidly growing field within fine arts and business.”

PRIVATE SUMMER VOICE LESSONS • AGES 9 - ADULT
Course number - SS51
Eight half-hour private voice lessons scheduled at your convenience for ages 9 through adult. Participants will be invited to perform an “End-of-summer” recital to be scheduled the weekend of August 15 and 16; times TBA. All vocal styles welcome.

ENGAGING GOD THROUGH BIBLICAL LITERATURE
Course number - AD02
This course will explore God through encountering various aspects of Old Testament literature. The format will be 70% discussion 30% lecture. We will examine God as He is portrayed in scripture through the book of Genesis and the story of Creation, the History of Israel beginning in the book of Exodus. The first week we will talk about the origin of Sin, Heaven and Hell, God’s judgment and Salvation and of course Miracles. We will discuss several characters from the Old Testament starting with Abraham and moving on to Jacob, Moses and David. We will briefly touch on the book of Psalms and the book of Job and talk about the Prophets; namely Jeremiah and Isaiah. The second week will focus on Jesus Christ as He is portrayed in the Gospel of John and Luke and we’ll conclude with some discussion on the book of Revelation. Emphasis will be put on explaining the historical context surrounding the creation of the scriptural Canon as well include aspects of literary criticism and attempt to bring scripture into a more modern context for the reader.
