Multicultural Festival March 30, April 1, 3, 2009!
The Multicultural Festival is a month-long celebration, beginning February 27. Students learn about four feature countries, discovering their cultural differences and similarities. Multicultural Festival highlights one country per week, culminating in the final week with the main events.
The countries featured this year are:
Brazil: February 27 – March 6
Indonesia: March 9 - 13
Ireland: March 16 - 20
Mexico: March 23 - 27

Ethnic food from each of the feature countries will be served
in the cafeteria Tuesday-Friday.

Celebration in all the cafeterias with
samplings of delicious food from around the world.
Share your ethnic heritage by making your dessert or appetizer specialty and bringing it to the Dessert/Food Festival.*

Exhibits of Brazil, Indonesia, Ireland and Mexico will be in Flannery Gym from 8:30am – 2:30pm.
Some Exhibit Highlights: Indonesia - Professor Bill Albin, from Miami University with the Gamelan drums. Ireland - Dave Mason with bagpipes and Cindy Mayti with the Celtic flute.
(Parents are invited and encouraged to view the exhibits in Flannery and performances in Kyte with their children. See the program times below.)
The Upper School Students are invited to view the exhibits as their Schedule permits during the day.

All school Multicultural Mass in Flannery Gym
begins with the International parade of costumes and flags at 8:45 am.
The entire school and parents are invited to dress in a costume from the country of their choice. Featuring performances by: Camarata, the Middle School Band, Patty Kenney’s class,
Cindy Matyi, Dave Mason.
