Manners and Customs in Peru
1. What time would your Peruvian host tell you to come for dinner? Should you arrive at that specific time, earlier or later? Dinner invitations are usually at 9:00. It's is correct to arrive ½ hour late.
2. Should you "clean your plate"? It is polite for a guest to eat everything on his plate or politely excuse himself.
3. If you give flowers for a present, what color should you avoid? Yellow flowers represent the enemy and giving them means you hate them (or you wish the person dead.)
