Dear Prospective Families,
I am humbled and thrilled to serve as The Summit's Head of School. I have come to conceptualize The Summit as an invitation and a promise. It's an invitation to seek truth through faith and reason. It's an invitation to discover your passions and talents as you begin your own journey through life. It's an invitation to be challenged - mind, body, heart, and soul - in an environment that thrives on our uniqueness and celebrates as a community. It's a promise to be known and loved, not just for 4, 8, or 12 years, but for all time. And it's a promise to grow in grace and wisdom as you confront new ideas and assumptions. I suspect there are easier relationships to enter in to, but likely none more rewarding or empowering.
The Summit has an extraordinary legacy of intellectual achievement, human devotion, and athletic and artistic greatness. Each graduating class distinguishes itself with many young women and men heading off to Ivy League and top-tier colleges, with bountiful scholarships to signify their exceptional accomplishments and potential. The depth and breadth of their accomplishments -- from the classroom to the athletic field, from the to the artist's canvas to the community they serve -- fulfill a sacred promise.
If you accept our invitation to join The Summit family, know that we will be ever-committed to helping you realize your most ambitious dreams.
Sincerely,
Jerry Jellig
Head of School
